Through both personal and professional experiences, I have witnessed the healing power of creativity and art. It has become my passion, as well as a professional goal, to assist others in cultivating their creativity and using it as a means of self-exploration, healing, and improving one’s self-awareness. Clients are not required to have any prior art experience as art therapy focuses on the process and not the product. Through the natural, creative processes of art, a Master’s Prepared Art Therapist assists clients in expressing emotions that may be difficult to verbalize, resolving conflicts, and improving self-awareness.
Art Therapists must obtain a Master’s Level Degree through an accredited program by the American Art Therapy Association and in the State of Michigan, are credentialed credentialed as a registered art therapist (ATR) and/or are board certified (ATR – BC).
